McQuaid Crew members competed at their home course this past Sunday, Oct. 10 at the Head of the Genesee (HOG) Regatta. Under warm Fall skies, novice rowers got their first taste of competition, with varsity crew members adding to the fun. In the men's high school 1X (single), Nick Bailey came in 7th against strong competition, with a time of 21:46:08. In the men's high school 2X (doubles), McQuaid A (Essen/Grams) finished 4th (20:04:02); B (Keller/Herrema) finished 5th (22:38:05), and C (Wikiera/McNally) finished 6th (24:27:21). The men's high school Novice 4+ (Kratz/Gianakakis/Dennis/Herrema/c-Sherwood) finished 8th with a time of 16:56:19).
